In some cases, when your shades aren't working right, it can be easier to start from scratch in terms of pairing your shades and remotes. This is called a network reset. To reset the network and start over, follow the steps below.
NOTE: If your shades and remotes are a part of home automation system, consult with the home automation provider for the proper steps to exclude the shades and remotes from their network.
Using Premium (Multi-Channel) Remote

STEP 1 OF 2: Reset the Network
- Make sure all of your shades and remotes have power. If any shades or remotes aren't powered, resolve the power issue using these instructions.
- Exclude all remotes from your shade network.
- Press and hold the menu/right button for two seconds until the menu appears displaying 4 lines of text CHANNEL, SHADE, ZWAVE, and BATT OK.
- Tap menu/right on ZWAVE then tap the down six times past the four options to reset and tap menu/right on reset.

- Tap up to LIKE NEW?; press and hold the menu/right button until the screen returns to displaying CHANNEL 1
- Repeat for each remote.
- Exclude all shades from your shade network.
- On any of the 12 channel remotes, press and hold the menu/right button for about 2 seconds, until the remote screen displays the menu (CHANNEL, SHADE, ZWAVE)
- Tap the down arrow until the menu cursor (arrow on the screen) is on “ZWAVE,” then press and release (less than 1 second) the menu/right button to select it.
- Tap the down arrow to put the cursor on “EXCLUDE,” then press and release (less than 1 second) the menu/right button to select it. The remote will read “EXCLUDE PRESS DEVICE BUTTON”
- While the remote is on this screen, press and hold the button on the shade for about 3 seconds, until the LED on the shade begins flashing green, and then release the button. The shade should do a brief up/down jog after the button has been released, and the remote should read “EXCLUDE REMOVED” followed by a number. This prepares the shade to join a new remote.
- Repeat for each shade.
STEP 2 OF 2: Create a New Network
Once you've successfully reset your network, you're ready to create a new one. To create a new network, follow instructions below.
If not connecting to a Home Automation System, skip to step 5
- If applicable, include/enroll your shades in the home automation app. (Ignore this step if you don't use a home automation system.)
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
See your home automation system’s instructions for details. - On one of your shades, press and hold the program button for 3 seconds. When the shade LED flashes green, release the button.
The shade should appear as a found Z-Wave device in your home automation system’s user interface.
- Repeat the steps above for each shade.
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
- If applicable, include/enroll your remotes in the home automation app. (Ignore this step if you don't use a home automation system.)
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
See your home automation system’s instructions for details.
- On one of your remotes, Press and HOLD the MENU/RIGHT button
- Select ZWAVE then Arrow down to LEARN

- The remote should appear as a found Z-Wave device in your home automation system’s user interface.
- Repeat the steps above for each remote.
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
- Set up the automation features within the home automation app to operate multiple shades within a group. (Ignore this step if you don't use a home automation system, or if you don't want to operate multiple shades within a group using the home automation system.)
- If applicable, associate the remote to each shade (go to next step if you don't use a home automation system) by doing one of the following:
- On the remote control, press MENU/RIGHT for 2 seconds to enter the menu
- Select ZWAVE then arrow down to Associate
- On the shade, press and HOLD the program button for 3 seconds. When the shade LED flashes green, release the button
- On the remote control, press MENU/RIGHT for 2 seconds to enter the menu
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each shade you want to control with the remote.
Assign the shades to a channel.
- Press and Hold MENU/RIGHT to enter the menu
- Select Channel

- Select the channel you want to assign the shade to by scrolling left or right
- Select the shade number you want to assign to the channel by scrolling up or down

- Press and HOLD the MENU/RIGHT button for 2 seconds. (the shade will jog and a checkmark will appear next to the shade number on the remote screen)

- Repeat steps 3-5 for each shade
- If applicable, the remote to each shade (if not using a home automation system) by doing one of the following:
- On the remote control, press MENU/RIGHT for 2 seconds to enter the menu
- Select ZWAVE then arrow down to ZWAVE then arrow down to INCLUDE

- Select ZWAVE then arrow down to ZWAVE then arrow down to INCLUDE
- On the shade, press and HOLD the program button for 3 seconds. When the shade LED flashes green, release the button
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each shade you want to control with this remote.
- Assign the shades to a channel.
- Press and Hold MENU/RIGHT to enter the menu
- Select Channel

- Select the channel you want to assign the shade to by scrolling left or right
- Select the shade number you want to assign to the channel by scrolling up or down

- Press and HOLD the MENU/RIGHT button for 2 seconds. (the shade will jog and a checkmark will appear next to the shade number on the remote screen)
- On the remote control, press MENU/RIGHT for 2 seconds to enter the menu

- Repeat steps 3-5 for each shade
