Modified on Wed, 29 Apr at 1:52 PM

If you bought a new multi-channel remote and want to pair it with a shade or group of shades that are already controlled by a Single Channel/Plus group remote, follow these steps.

1. On the group remote, quickly press and release the program button twice.

The remote LED will alternate flashing amber and green for ~45 seconds.

2. Press and hold the menu/right button for two seconds until the menu appears displaying 4 lines of text CHANNEL, SHADE, ZWAVE, and BATT OK.

3.  Scroll down to and tap the menu/right button on ZWAVE, scroll down and tap the menu button again on LEARN

The group remote LED will turn solid green and then turn off.  The multi-channel remote will show JOINING on the screen.

4. Press and hold the menu/right button for two seconds until the menu appears displaying 4 lines of text CHANNEL, SHADE, ZWAVE, and BATT OK. Scroll down to and tap the menu/right button on SHADE then, scroll down to and tap the menu/right button on FIND then, scroll up to and tap the menu/right button on begin.

The multi-channel remote will go through the nodes on the network and eventually display FOUND x SHADES. Where x is how many shades the remote added. If the shade number found on the remote is lower than how many shades are in the home, ensure the shades currently have power and repeat step 4 again. The remote will number the shades in the order they were paired to the primary remote.

5. Each shade will need to be assigned to a channel on the multi-channel remote.  Follow the steps linked here:
