Home automation is when multiple devices are interconnected onto one system and are controlled within a user interface via a mobile device or computer.
Springs Window Fashions offers a wide variety of motorized window coverings that are controlled by their dedicated in space controls for shade operation. We'll refer to this as stand-alone motorized system. Alternatively, these same products can be integrated into many home automation networks with minimal effort by an installer.
In recent years, many companies have entered the growing home automation and Smart Home Market. Each of them offers services and monthly plans (some for free) to consumers. These third-party home automation systems utilize RTS and Z-Wave technologies, depending on their individual platforms. Some service providers focus on security, whereas others encompass the broader Smart Home solution. There are two approaches to automation:
- DIY consumer-level system that is easy to set up, manage and operate
- Do-it-for-me premium systems that requires professional installation and an AV (audio-video) integrator.
